How to install TURFquick Biologically Degradable Pre-seeded Cultivation and Planting Textile.

How to use our products - Installation guide !

  • The time of planting will be determined by the type of grass you buy. But several of our products can be planted all year round, except during very intense periods of snow and cold.
  • Ask our support team for advice.   support@turfquick.com

1. Prepare the soil to roll out the TURFQUICK by milling the surface if necessary..

2. Remove stones and unwanted vegetation.
3. Match and shape the terrain thoroughly. The TURFquick® planting textile will adapt to it once watered and will follow the shapes you have chosen.
4. Remember that the TURFquick® planting textile is very thin and flexible so that it can be applied not only in flat surfaces but also in slopes and curved lands.
5. We can recommend that you add 10cm to 20cm planting soil which can then be packed with a cylinder roller. Before you roll out Turfquick make sure there is a flat surface. This will prevent the soil from sinking or tilting, for example, in heavy rain or footprints.
If you do a good foundation work then it will be a top result.

6. Stretch the TURFquick® planting textile over the surface of the prepared soil and make sure it is stretched, like a tablecloth on a table, for example.
7. Try inserting the planting textile about 2-3 centimeters between each piece, so you don’t leave space between them. If necessary, keep the planting textile in place with biodegradable stakes, which can be purchased in our store.
8. Use a pair of scissors to cut and adapt the planting textile to the shape of the ground on which it is being applied. If there are trees, plants, edges, figures and more, just cut the planting textile adapting it to the existing elements.
9. Water the Turfquick® planting textile abundantly until it soaks. This is necessary so that it adapts to the terrain and remains subject to it. And that’s it! Continue watering periodically, and in a 1 to 2 weeks, you will observe the first outbreaks.

10. From now on you should take care of the lawn in a traditional way, in other words, watering, fertilizing and cutting it.
11. Congratulations on a very good investment! You have acquired a very beautiful and high-quality lawn that will give you many satisfactions.
12. And do not throw away the leftovers that are left over! You can store them in a cool and dry place, in a closed bag for at least 2 years. Thus, you can use them to repair the grass surface in case of damage caused by accidents, jobs, and others. In such case, follow the application instructions and that’s it!
13. (… and why not decorate pots and other gardening pieces? TURFquick® planting textile is very flexible and practical, only our imagination can limit its use!)

Handling and Care:

1. Water the TURFquick® planting textile in the morning and afternoon with plenty of water so it is soaked. In case of intense heat, keep the planting textile moist continuously and avoid dryness.
2. The first few times, cut the lawn carefully, and with tools or machines with a sharp edge on the cutting blades, when the grass is about 8 to 10 centimeters high.
3. In a period of 8 to 14 weeks, depending on the irrigation and climatic conditions, the planting textile becomes nutrients and disappears while the grass grows. The decomposition of the planting textile does not occur regularly in the winter time. This does not limit or prevent the seeds from germinating and taking root. Decomposition will begin when the weather is warm, and the constant environmental temperature is at least 20 degrees Celsius.
4.You can always add around 10cm to 20cm food soil / planting soil to speed up the establishment and long-term results before rolling out Turfquick.
5.  If you do not clean or mill the soil properly from existing vegetation before you roll out the TURFQUICK,  then the weeds can grow and lift the textile,  you can cut Turfquick with a scissors and remove the weeds and patch again, continue watering.
6.To avoid the weed problem and the textile should not fly, you have to water Turfquick first 3-4 weeks so they keep wet all the time.
If textile gets dry over 1 day the grass does not grow and the seeds will die.

7.In order for the textile to decompose, Turfquick should be moist and temperate must be over 20
degrees Celsius so composting process should begin after.
They take almost 8 -14 weeks of decompose process to be completed and the grass fully grown if you keep Turfquick first 3 to 4 weeks wet.
8.  If you give too much water then Turfquick color becomes white and they may appear moldy.  The grass can be changed color to yellow as well.
If you stop watering during the growth process, decompose process also will stops and Turfquick will changes color from green to yellow/broun,
9. Like all turf,  Turfquick®  turf needs periodic fertilizers and irrigation for proper growth.

Turfquick is a smart invention and they talk for themselves for completing the process so you get a top resolution.
