A – What kind of seed is in TurfQuick® products ?

Pure and Simple Ultra Premium lawn seed mixtures contain improved varieties that are disease resistant and drought tolerant. Turfquick is 100 % pure seed that is 99.9 % weed free for a lush green lawn. We use only premium seed that is guaranteed to grow and provides a long-lasting, beautiful lawn. Our selection of lawn seed mixtures provide the perfect lawn for any growing environment from dense shade to full sun. Turfquick seeds has no fillers or additives.

B – How do I know if the TurfQuick® seed mixes will work in my climate zone?

TurfQuick® only uses high-quality seed mixtures for different needs and climates, premium certified weed free supplied by DLF seed, tested by Scanturf and Scangreen, the programs of the seed industry and researchers in Scandinavia.

C – What are the available sizes of the TurfQuick® rolls?

TURFquick® is supplied in incredibly light rolls, which makes them easy to use. There are various different roll sizes. The material can easily be cut to the desired size and shape.

D – Do TurfQuick® products work properly on any type of surface?

TurfQuick® products was initially invented for erosion control and strong growth in all types of surfaces, home lawns, park settings, sod farms, athletic fields, golf courses ( rough), on slopes and hillsides too.

The blanket has a fine but tight internal structure which ensures that seeds and organic nutrients are distributed equally and will not move during transport, installation or germination.

E – Is really TurfQuick® easy to install?

The major advantages are quick and simple installation, an evenly sown unit, weed pressure, less water needed and prevention of erosion. TurfQuick® is much easier to install and effectively than the traditional grass seed or sod methods. F – Do i need to fasten the TurfQuick® blanket/mat/fabric with nails/peg/staples/pins/stakes or some kind of extra accessory to the ground?

After the germination blanket has been watered, it will stick to the ground and so it will not be able to blow away. During the installation process you can use pebbles or soil to keep the germination blanket in place. You can also use our biodegradable pins which can be pushed into the ground through the blanket. These pins will break down after around 1.5 years. We advise you to always use these pins when installing the grass on a slope, so the blanket will remain in the correct position. Biodegradable:

The pins meet all biodegradability norms (EN13432). The biodegradable pins are made of renewable vegetable materials and are 100% biodegradable, which means the material will break down in water, carbon dioxide and humus without the need of any by-products (just like compost).

G – Can TurfQuick® be affected by wind?

Yes, the wind can affect the germination process of the seeds inside our products. We do not recommend installing our products when strong winds are blowing. We recommend that you wait for one more day or when the winds has calm down, for a safe installation and better germination.

But if you are living i a continuous windy area, we recommend that you first water the prepared surface/ground very well one night before the installation of our products, with this recommendation you will increase the fastening properties.

Another precaution that is very important to keep in mind, is under those windy days put or cover our fabric/mat with a small amount of soil ( 0,5 or 1 centimeters maximum). This one will keep the moisture for a little longer time than usual for a better germination process, the new grass will grow up trough this soil.

H – What is the shelf life of TurfQuick® products if we storage in an own warehouses or store?

Each bag of the TurfQuick® products has a unique product/production label adhered to the roll, this gives a complete detail of the exact seed mixture and fertilizer included, there is also an expiry date on it (18 months from the date of manufacture), this is a Swedish and International agricultural requirement, If stored in a cool, dry place, grass seed can last for two to three years, but you may not get the same results as you would when planting fresh seed. As the seed ages, the percentage of seeds that will be able to germinate diminishes, forcing you to use more seed than normal to get adequate coverage.

in addition TurfQuick® has more seed per square meter than the industry prescribed seeding rate so even if some of the seeds failed to germinate there are many more than normally applied per sq m.

I – Do I need to add nutrients to the soil/surfare before planting the TurfQuick® grass lawn ?

Applying fertilizer before sowing grass seed is one of the critical steps when establishing a new lawn. Properly adding nutrients to your soil and grass seed will help ensure the new seedlings have what they need to grow properly.

You do not really need some extra nutrients if you have a black dirt surface, because all our grass seed mixtures contains seed, fertilizer and mulch, but if you want a faster germination process you can add it before the installation.

Please do not lay our products over any existing grass or vegetation. All TurfQuick® products must touch or have direct contact with the soil/surface there you are going to install. You should clear all old grass vegetation before, loosen the top with 15 to 20 centimeters of black dirt soil with a rake and create a smooth or right surface free of any debris, TurfQuick® works best when the product is touching the actual soil rather than mulch.

Please do not lay our products over any existing grass or vegetation. All TurfQuick® products must touch or have direct contact with the soil/surface there you are going to install. You should clear all old grass vegetation before, loosen the top with 5 to 10 centimeters of black dirt soil with a rake and create a smooth or right surface free of any debris, TurfQuick® works best when the product is touching the actual soil rather than mulch.

J – Where can I buy TurfQuick® products?

K – How long will TurfQuick® take to grow?

The germination blanket will break down within 8 to 12 weeks. TURFquick® is an entirely biodegradable product and will not leave behind any synthetic remnants. The blanket has a fine but tight internal structure which ensures that seeds and organic nutrients are distributed equally and will not move during transport, installation or germination.

Please keep your domestic pets off the surface/area that you have installed our blanket until the grass has grown at least 8 to 10 centimeters, as you know TURFquick® is a real grass and this one is safe for pets too.

If you have domestic pets that they are living outside please keep them away from the blanket and especially when doing their needs. Once the grass is grown, you can let your animals go back to playing and having fun as before in it.

If pets will be outside, we recommend sectioning off an area for TurfQuick and an area for pets to play and do their business. Once the TURFquick® has grown in, reverse the sequence and block off the next area for TurfQuick to grow.domestic

L – Can Turfquick be installed on other surfaces?

Of course it can be installed in other surface but you should know others surfaces like does not have many natural nutrients, we recommended to mix or add at least 10 cm of black soil on any surface then fertilize every spring and fall. The lawn will grow and produce great results because the roots can grow freely, strong and deep.

M – How to prevent animals or insects from eating the seeds?

We recommend that you spread a thin layer of soil or soil on top of the blanket. 0,5 or 1 centimeters maximum. Do not worry if the birds or insects take some loose seeds because the rest of the seeds are positioned and attached to the biodegradable seed mat.

N – Can you water grass with salt water?

Salt is commonly found in small quantities in soil. But in large quantities, it stops plants from absorbing necessary nutrients such as phosphorous and potassium, and it absorbs water the plants need to survive. This can dehydrate the roots of the grass in your lawn and cause it to turn brown and die.

O – Where are the products TurfQuick® manufactured?

TurfQuick® is “Made in the SWEDEN” using all Swedish materials. Our bio-fabric comes from Europe, our seeds come from DLF, and it’s all put together in our Turf Factory facility in Stora Vika, Nynäshamn Municipality!
